This certificate is valid and can not be repudiated. Therefore, all care is little with this digital file. It is recommended to safely store this certificate in a digital safe called Hardware Security Module (HSM).

The Digital Diploma in higher education institutions, public and private, belonging to the federal education system in Brazil must be signed by an ICP-Brazil digital certificate. The implementation of the digital diploma aims to contribute to the elimination of fraud in the process of issuing diplomas and to promote greater transparency in the procedures for issuing these documents.

In this context, DINAMO Networks is a partner of educational institutions and provides the DINAMO Pocket solution for the safe management and safekeeping of these digital certificates. The solution enables storage of up to 200 certificates, network and cloud access, traceability and backup.

Ordinance No. 330, published on April 6, 2018, establishes the obligation to use the digital certificate in the standard of the Brazilian Public Key Infrastructure – ICP-Brazil for the signing of the digital diplomas.

The measure also covers other academic documents such as the record and academic background of college students. According to the ordinance, the use of the ICP-Brazil certificate will guarantee the authenticity, integrity, reliability, availability, traceability and legal validity of the documents issued.

The digital diploma will be compulsory throughout the national territory and institutions of higher education will have two years to implement the process.

The Ordinance also establishes the obligation for educational institutions to set up a management committee to design, implement and monitor the information security policy related to the academic collection, and that this should be controlled by a specialized electronic document management system.
